人脸检测综述

人脸检测研究在近二十年的时间内取得了长足的进步,并且作为安控、人机界面、人类情感研究系统的重要组成部分得到了广泛的应用。该文首先对人脸检测所面临的问题进行了探讨,并将人脸检测方法分为:基于几何特征的方法、基于肤色模型的方法、基于统计理论的方法三个方面进行了阐述。分析了相关的理论及算法,对各个方法的优缺点进行了比较。最后,对人脸检测今后的研究方向进行了讨论。

Face detection: a survey

The study of face detection has been made great progress in past twenty years.And,face detection has been widely used in the fields such as security,human-machine interface,human expression and so on.The purpose of this paper is to categorize and evaluate face detection algorithms.These algorithms are categorized in three aspects,respectively,based on geometrical feature,skin color,and statistic theory.After analyzing merits and limitations of these algorithms,this paper discusses promising directions for future research.
