基于内容的视频分析技术研究

视频数据分析处理是实现基于内容的视频检索的一项关键技术,它直接影响到视频特征匹配和检索的精度。从分析视频数据的结构和特点出发,总结了基于内容检索的视频处理方法的一般过程,即视频分割、关键帧选取、静态和动态特征提取以及视频聚类等。对基于内容视频分析中的关键技术进行了深入的探讨研究,分析了各种方法的优缺点并介绍了一些新的方法,最后提出了一些值得进一步研究的问题。

Techniques of content-based video analysis

Video contains the most affluent information but implies huge storage and complicated semantics.To search for required fragments among huge quantity of video is a tedious and time-consuming task for traditional manual indexing and sequential searching methods that certainly can't meet the performance requirements of video database.This paper discussed shot detection,key frame extraction and feature extraction of content-based video retrieval,and then analyzed the advantage and disadvantage of the above techniques.In addition,it also put forward some important opened problems that can lead more sophisticated ways of video content analysis.
