Abstract:A high precision acquisition circuit is an important component of a high precision infrared thermal imager.The basic principle of an infrared thermal imaging system is described in brief.The hardware structure of an infrared imaging system using a 384×288-pixel uncooled infrared focal plane array produced by ULIS company is given.The system uses a Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) as the core control chip of its acquisition and driving circuit and uses a VSP2566 as its acquisition chip.The acquisition chip converts the analog signal output from the detector into a 16-bit digital signal and then sends the digital signal to a Digital Signal Processor(DSP) for further processing and displaying. Compared with the scheme which directly uses the 12-bit digital output of the detector,this design has higher temperature measurement accuracy and higher imaging quality.
