Opening-up Arouses Rapid Development of Telecom Industry in Pakistan

This article firstly describes the rapid development of telecom industry in Pakistan in terms of the following 5 aspects: mobile communication, fixed network communication, other telecom services, supply of telecom equipment, growth and contribution of the whole telecom industry. Then it presents the reforming measures of Pakistani government, which aim at a fair, equitable and favorable flexible marketing environment for existed carriers and new comer. Finally, it introduces the privatization of PTCL and points out the enormous development potential of the telecom industry in Pakistan.
