摘    要:提出了两种利用半导体光放大器(SOA)不同的增益效应产生超宽带(UWB)信号的方法。一种方法是利用两个光源和SOA的交叉增益调制(XGM)效应产生UWB,另一种方法是利用一个光源和SOA的增益饱和效应产生UWB信号。分析了这两种方法的工作原理,进行了相关的仿真实验,分别得到了符合美国联邦通信委员会(FCC)标准的UWB...

Abstract:Two methods are proposed to generate ultra-wideband(UWB) signal using different gain effects of the semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA).One is realized by utilizing two laser diodes and the cross-gain modulation effect of SOA.The other is to generate UWB signal by utilizing one laser diode and the gain saturation effect of SOA.The principles of the two methods are analyzed and simulations based on the proposed methods are carried out.Two UWB signals which meet the criterion of the U.S.Federal Communication...
