The Architecture, Crux and Development of Technology on High-performance Routers

It is imperati ve to build the broadband and high-speed network under the situations such as the rapidly expanding network users,the increasingly stringent requirements of broad band services and the improving requirements of quality of service(QoS).In broad band and high-speed network,generally,the network routing node is implemented by high performance router.The high performance of router covers three aspects:gre at processing capacity and rapid processing speed of user data,strong protocol p rocessing ability.This paper summarizes the technical architectures,key problems and the possible development trend of high performance router comprehensively,w hich combines the writer's correlative research results and the practical develo pment experiences on high performance routers.
