| Abstract: | The principle of applying Synchronous Digital Hierarchy （SDH） in the transmission of optical communication is discussed. Based on the practical situation in the construction of a SDH transmission network in a city, the technical solutions for the network topology, equipment selection, protection mode and clock synchronization are analyzed, which is useful for the establishing an optical communication network. |
