| 摘 要： | 本文用光学模拟计算方法研究了多畴及无序ＳＴＮ－ＬＣＤ的电光特性。从光学角度而言，试图制造无序ＳＴＮ－ＬＣＤ的努力是没有意义的。无论对正性还是对负性显示模式，多畴ＳＴＮ单位象元的畴数量不应超过四个。具有２或４畴的ＳＴＮ－ＬＣＤ确实能够提高视角的均匀性，特别是４畴器件可以获得非常好的视角均匀性，具有一定的研究和开发意义。

| Abstract: | The electro -optical performance of the multidomain and amorphous STN-LCDs was studied with analytical simulations. From the view point of optics, the number of domain in one pixel can not be more than 4 for both positive mode and negative mode. It is confirmed that 2 or 4 domain STN -LCD can improve the viewing angle characteristics,especially 4 domain STN-LCD can present very good viewing angle performance and hasthe prospect of practical application. |
