高效率双波段同轴相对论返波管粒子模拟研究

摘    要:提出了一种能在C 波段和X 波段实现稳定双频输出的带有谐振反射腔的单电子束同轴相对论返波振荡器,并使 用2.5 维全电磁粒子PIC 模拟软件进行了粒子模拟研究。模拟结果显示:在电子束电压510kV,电流9.03kA,引导磁场 0.73 T 的条件下,双频器件实现了8.1GHz 和9.9GHz 的双波段频率稳定输出,平均功率为0.95GW,波束互作用效率为 20.6%, 效率高于空心双波段返波管以及瓷绝缘线双频振荡器。

Abstract:An C-band and X-band dual-frequency coaxial relativistic backward-wave oscillator (CRBWO) with a resonant reflector and a single annular electron beam is designed and investigated with 2.5-D particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation code in this paper. The PIC simulation results indicate that, with an electron beam of 510 kV and 9.03 kA guided by an axial magnetic field of 0.73 T, an average power of 0.95 GW with power conversion efficiency of 20.6% is obtained and the two dominant frequencies are 8.1 GHz and 9.9 GHz, respectively. The efficiency is higher than dual-band non-coaxial RBWO and dual-band magnetically insulated line oscillator.
