Calculation of relative single-polarisation bandwidth of side-pit fibres |

| Abstract: | A simple and accurate method to calculate the normalised cutoff frequencies of the two fundamental modes of a side-pit fibre is given. The method can be used to design side-pit fibres with large relative single-polarisation bandwidth. |
