| Abstract: | The root piles including mini piles and micro piles are introduced in terms of its application in the foun-dation underpinning. The particular cases are listed to in-troduce the design conception in building heightening,sub-sidence control and foundation consolidation. The associat-ed problems to be noted are also discussed. |
