Abstract:Abstract: The selection of matrix material and reinforcement phase, manufacture technology, microstructure and interface structure of TMCs, mechanical properties of TMCs and potential applications of TMCs were reviewed. Several processes such as melting, XD TM , self propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) and combustion assisted synthesis melting (CAS melting) were described in detail. The microstructure, interface structure and mechanical properties of TMCs, and the application potential of these composites also introduced.
