| Abstract: | Repeated tempering of bulk-quenched rail reduces the residual stress without significant change in the mechanical properties
and hardness of the metal. Double tempering with optimal cold straightening is suitable for the manufacture of rail that is
resistant to corrosion-fatigue cracks. |
