Features of Electric Design for Manwan 500kV Transformer Station

This paper deals with the types of main circuit,main transformer,GIS and others of electric apparatus applied to Manwan Plant,their selective feature,the speialities of general layout of the transformer station including its main position arrangement are introduced; the enforcement scheme for the surge protection of transformer station is also stated. The transformer station has been operated well so far and accumulated a new experience about transformer station design with ultra-high voltage and large capacity in the high mountain and canyon area.
