The development of China water resources in the 21st century will be adjusted on the basis of summarization of the experiences accumulated in the 21th century,especially since the founding of new China.The guiding principles and construction techniques will be changed according to the demand of China for the water conservancy.To make a distinction,the modern China water conservancy in the 21st century is named“large water conservancy”.Here described are the difference between“large water conservancy”and traditional water conservancy,the concept of “large water conservancy” and its background as basic principles.
