Discussion on water injection test inapplicability to the permeability test for homogeneous earth dam

The in situ method of a water injection test is discussed.This method is prone to error when used for permeability tests of homogeneous earth dams.In particular,it is not suitable for the relatively thin-walled dam of the small reservoir.The current standards and regulations of dam injection tests are worth discussing.If we want to use the method for the permeability test of isolated and not half-spaced artificial filling soil,the formula of the permeability coefficient should be reviewed.
