From predication and general analysis,power resource structure is not ideal now in Sichuan province and most hydropower stations are run of river power stations with poor power regulating capacity and great difference in power generation during wet season and dry season.From 2001 to 2010,difference between peak load and low load increases rapidly for Sichuan power system,but regulating capacity of the system is poor.With the fast development of national economy,Sichuan power market will face a great challenge.Therefore,one of the best way is to build Pubugou hydropower station with seasonal regulating capacity and great cascade compensating benefit in Dadu River Basin.The construction of Pubugou hydropower station is in line with the policy for power resource structure regulation in China and it is expected to attach great importance to the project by the parties concerned so as to speeding up the rolling development of Dadu River Basin.
