| Abstract: | This is a special research item of the SPC Scientific Research programme 1998~2000. In connection with the dam foundation of Nina project on the Upper Yellow River, the engineering geologic characteristics of the Neo Tertiary red sandstone are comprehensively studied and protection measures for excavation of soft red sandstone are put forward. |
