西部水资源开发与环境保护

西部大开发是实现西部经济振兴,促进全国经济协调发展的战略部署。我国水能资源居世界之首。西部地区可开发量占全国的82％,但已开发量不足10％,开发程度较低。水电是无污染、可再生能源,西部大开发必须优先发展水电,实施“西电东送”,以推动我国经济、社会、资源和环境相互协调,作到可持续发展。

Development of Water Power Resources & Protection of Environment in Western Region of China

Water power is clean and renewable energy resources, the water power potential of China ranks the first place of the world, the available power capacity in western region constitutes 80% of the sum of whole country but less than 10% have been developed. Priority should be given to the development of water power in the large-scale development of western region to rejuvenate economy in this area and to perform electric transfer from western to eastern region, and to promote coordinate and sustainable development of economy, society, resources and environment of China.
