Abstract:The weak acid brilliant red B dye wastewater which contains the anionic surfactant SDS was treaded by Fenton oxidation, ultrasonic degradation and US- Fenton oxidation. The effects of initial pH value, dosage of H2O2 and FeSO4, reaction time and ultrasonic power on color and COD removal rate were investigated. The results indicated: Ultrasonic degradation had no effect on the removal of color and COD of wastewater. Compared with Fenton oxidation, ultrasound-Fenton oxidation can increase the removal rate of COD significantly. When initial pH value was 2.5, the reaction temperature was 50 ℃, dosage of 30 % H2O2 and FeSO4 were 4 mL/L and 300 mg/L, the reaction time was 90 min and the ultrasonic power was 400 W, the color removal ratio was 98 %, the COD removal ratio of COD was 72 % which was more than 25% better than that by only using Fenton oxidation.
Keywords:ultrasonic  dye wastewater  Fenton oxidation  the removal rate of COD
