Design and Use of Desulfurizing Tower with Packings-Spiral Flow Trays in Transformation of Purification of Shift Effluent under Pressure by Desulfurization

The design and development of a novel combination desulfurizing tower with composite plastic cascade ring packings and double pass blade spiral flow trays having overflow cones. The features of its structure are that the spiral flow trays adopt the double pass blade configuration, the overflow unit uses the new configuration with helical blades, in the upper part of the tower is placed a packing layer of 2.53 m in height, and the sprayer and the gas inlet and outlet configuration are modified and optimized. Through its actual use it is proved that its use in the purification of shift effluent under pressure by desulfurization is successful.
