Abstract:Lithium-ion battery was the hot topic of research because of its high operating voltage, high energy density, large capacity and long cyclic life. Properties and research progress of cathode electrode materials in lithium-ion battery were summarized. Up to now, research on lithium-ion batteries focused on modification of commercialized cathode materials and development of new cathode materials. Doping was an effective means to improve cathode electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries, and the future emphasis of the materials would be higher capacity, higher charge/discharge efficiency, higher cyclic performance and low cost.
