| Abstract: | This paper systemically introduced the toughening methods for modifying epoxy resins presently, including rubber toughening, thermoplastic resin toughening, IPN toughening, ＂ flexible chain＂ toughening and arborization molecule toughening epoxy resins. The toughening micromechanism for the marked increase of toughness in the presence of flexible side chain was then identified. |
