Abstract:The thermal behavior of poly-5-vinyltetrazole (PVT) was studied by DSC and TG-DTG raising temperature gradually. The compatibilities of PVT with propellant main components including RDX, HMX, CL-20, DNTF, AP, A1 and Mg were investigated by DSC and vacuum stability test methods. The results show that thermal decomposition of PVT can be divided into two stages. The peak temperature of the first stage is 237.2℃, and the peak temperature of the second stage is 281.2℃. The compatibilities of PVT with RDX, HMX, CL-20, DNTF, ADN, AP, Al and Mg are better. The above mentioned materials can be used as components in preparation of propellants and explosives.
