| Abstract: | A certain amount of thiols is contained in light oils. Thiol causes a foul smell and reduces the stability and quality of oils.Besides, thiol is corrosive itself.The process of thiol removal is necessary in oil refining.All sweetening methods in light oil are introduced in this paper, especially several common methods. Some advices on ressearch and development of deodorization catalyst are also proposed. |
