| Abstract: | Studies on the application of chitosan and its derivative on tobacco and cigarette were reviewed, which includes decrease of tar and noxious compounds in the mainstream of cigarette, adhesive in reconstituted tobacco, induced resistance to disease in tobacco plants and humectant. Furthermore the methodology for the application of chitosan and its derivative on tobacco and the orientation of progress in the research on adsorptive characteristic were discussed. |
