Abstract:The replacement of oil refinery with biomass biorefinery is vital for sustaining the growth of the chemical industry and society.Biorefinery will produce production genealogy by platform refining to meet the social needs of energy and chemicals.Chemical conversions as well as bioconversions are two main ways of biorefinery.However,chemical conversion is more designable and adaptable than bioconversion.Six platform chemicals mainly prepared by chemical conversion,Glycerol,3-Hydroxy-butyro lactone,Levuluic acid,2,5-Furandicarboxylic acid,Gluconic acid and Surbitol,are summarized,including potential transformation routes in their production genealogy and the key related technologies.To realize the commercialization of biomass chemical conversion,the development of cost-efficient cellulose depolymerization,new transformation routes and catalyst system are necessary.
