Abstract:Glycolysis products was obtained by depolymerizing poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) using 3A molecular sieves or zinc acetate as catalyst, Di-ethylene glycol (DEG) as glycolysis reagent. Applied those glyeolysis products for polyurethane elastomers synthesis, polyurethane elastomers (PUEs) containing glycolysis products were prepared. The influential factors such as species of glycolysis catalysts, mole ratio of DEG and PET repeating unit, content of glycolysis products on the properties of PUEs were researched. The properties of PUEs were investigated by TG,DSC and X-ray diffraction. The results showed that the PUEs' mechanical properties were improved by adding 10% (weight percent) glycolysis products which were catalyzed by zinc acetate in the condition of nDEG:nPET repeatieg unit, was 3: 1. The PUEs' thermal stability and crystalline properties decreased a little by adding certain glycolysis products. The short-distance order of PUEs' hard phase was improved under the influence of glyeolysis products.
