Planning Decision System for Open Pit Mine and Its Application

The basic functions of a planning decision for open pit mine were introduced. The geological model and mining model of a open pit mine was built by using this system, and the mining sequence of first mining area was simulated on the basis of evaluating geological resources. The mining sequence projects were analyzed and selected using the method of dynamic economic evaluation. Finally both the mid term and long term plan of the optimized mining sequence process were made. The result shows that this system is practical and common, and it can be an available tool for decision making of a open pit mine.
