Engineering Measures and Their Choice for Land Reclamation in Mining Subsidence Area with High Phreatic Level

The realignment of surface damaged by mining subsidence and land reuse after realignment are two major tasks of land reclamation plan of mining area, and the realignment of surface is the foundation and preparation of accomplishing land reuse. On the basis of analysing the features of the land damaged by mining, the paper proposes four kinds of engineering measures for the realignment of subsided land as follows:(l) measures of mining;(2) measures of lowering phreatic level;(3) measures of tillage and irrigation; and (4) measures of raising subsided surface. The paper also analyses the peculiarities of land reclamation further, and the flow chart of the process of selecting reclamation measures is given. The method of AHP (Analysis of Hierarchy Process) is employed successfully in selecting reclamation measures and an example of application is presented.
