摘    要:应用Phillips等人发展起来的密集悬浮物浓度及速度场的模型方程,讨论了低雷诺数层流状态下密集悬浮物中的粒子迁移现象,求解的方程由两部分组成,一是粘度与当地粒子浓度有关的N-S方程,二是由剪切引起的粒子扩散方程,计算结果表明,粒子向低剪切率区于移,并在壁面附近形成低浓度区域,这与实验结果是吻合的。

Abstract:The particle migration in concentrated suspensions under low Reynolds number laminar flow conditions is discussed in this paper. A constitutive equation for computing particle concentration and velocity fields in concentrated suspension is employed to simulate two\|dimensional inlet flow. The equation consists of two parts: a N\|S equation in which the effective viscosity depends on the local particle volume fraction and a diffusion equation that accounts for shear-induced particle migration. The predictions agree qualitatively well with the experimental results reported by others. The particles migrate towards regions of low shear rates, and forming a low volume fraction region near the wall.
