| Abstract: | The author reviewed on the source and composition of sludge from municipal sewage treatment plants in China. The present situation about disposal and utilization ways of sludge was generalized. It was pointed out that the agricultural utiliztion and usefulness of sludge is the best method for disposal of sludge. It was also described simply how to make into compost from sludge and the problem of pollution arouse by heavy metals and toxic compounds in the process of utilizing sludge in land. |
