Value of travel time of urban resident under multifactor influence

To improve the resident travel utility, the defining method of the value of time of the resident travel behavior was studied under the influence of multiple factors. The affecting factors in the defining process of the behavior time value were analyzed. A function between the travel utility and the affecting factors was built for the traveler with different travel modes using the principle of utility maximization and the random utility model, and a calculation method was proposed based the model of time value of the resident travel behavior. A case study was made taking the resident travel survey result in Changchun city as an example, and the results were compared with the calculation results using the traditional time value model, showing that the calculation result by the proposed model is more reliable and more practical than the traditional one.
