| Abstract: | In this paper, the necessity and possibility of integrating coordinate measuring machines with flexible manufacturing systems are analyzed. The authors point out that thorough integration should include the integration of material flow and information flow, and the integration if information flow should include the integration of control information as well as quality and process information. The research work of the integration implementation by the authors is also described. |
