摘    要:路由器的不同缓存容量使得网络性能有很大不同,因此缓存容量设置是一个研究的热点."拇指法则"和"斯坦福法则"是基于TCP协议模型的两种缓存设置方法.根据这两种法则的算法思想,用NS2在局域网中进行了仿真.实验结果表明:高链路利用率时,缓存的设置需要综合考虑多种网络性能参数;而牺牲一定的链路利用率,设置较低的缓存,在降低成本的同时仍能保持核心路由器的稳定.

Abstract:Different buffer size of router makes different network performance,so how to set up the buffer size of router is a key research concern.The rule of thumb and Stanford rule are two methods for buffer size setting based on TCP protocol models.We first introduced the Algorithm idea of the two rules then simulated the rules using NS2 in LAN.Finally,we proposed a few follow-up research directions.The experimental results showed that the buffer size setting needs to incorporate a variety of network performance p...
