| Abstract: | A kind of slow release drug-loaded microspheres were prepared with gelatin, chitosan and montmorillonite(MMT) by an emulsification/chemical cross-linking method using glutaraldehyde as cross-linking agent and acyclovir as model drug. The microspheres were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively.
