OPTIMIZATION ON THE FORMATION AND PROPERTIES OF HIGH-ALKALI CLINKER

摘    要:The effects of CaSO_4 additive andburning temperature on the formation and properties ofhigh-alkali clinker as well as their optimal controlrange were studied by means of chemical analysis,physical examination,XRD,DTA and EPMA.The re-sults show that a proper addition of CaSO_4 may convertalkalis to R_2SO_4,reduce melt viscosity,considerablyimprove the forming environment of alite.during burn-ing hence the setting and hardening of clinker developnormally.If CaSO_4 were too much,however,that ex-cess SO_3 with Al_2O_3 would dissolve into C_2S to hinderC_3S forming and produce K_2SO_4·CaSO_4·H_2O dur-ing hydration,to lead to quick setting of the paste.Theoptimal CaSO_4 content expressed as SO_3/R_2O mole ra-tio in clinker is 0.6-1.0,A high temperature can de-crease the riscosity and increase the rate of formingC_3S nuclei,so not only helping overcome the harm ofalkali but also supplementing imperfection of sulphate.It is better to burn a high alkali clinker with CaSO_4 ad-dition abore 1400℃.
