摘    要:Abstract: The paper deals with a new method to synthesize expand-able graphite with H_2O_2 as oxidizer. This method causes less environ -mental pollution than the tradi—tional,method using HNO_3 Some opti-mum techmcal conditions have been given here. It is shown that traditionalmethod .for manufacturing expandable graphite with HNO_3 as oxidizer canbe replaced completely with H_2O_2 as an oxidizer. Expandable graphitemade in this way has the same characteristics as that made in traditionalway, but the pollution of NO_2 to air decreases greatly.
