| Abstract: | In this paper, some basic concepts of cryptography are introduced. The latest develop- ment of cryptography and its applications are explained, including the public key cryptosystems, security theories, and various kinds of cryptographic protocols together with potential attacks. In addition, methods of security analysis for cryptographic protocols are summarized. Our own views on the development and future research directions of cryptography are also proposed. |
