Abstract: | Analyses the cooling of mold and plastic part during injection molding and the continued cooling of plastic part after being ejected from mold using the heat transfer theory and Boundary Element Method (BEM) to predict the temperature distribution in both mold and plastic part, and presents the experiments carried out with plates of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) to verify the validity of the cooling analysis software used to simulate the temperature distribution in ABS plate parts, and concludes that the analysis software agree qualitatively well with actual experimental findings. |
