| Abstract: | The variational and complementary variational method for calculating the capacitance is presented. The precision of the capacitance value calculated by this new method is greatly improved as compared with that by conventional method and its upper and lower bounds are found out. The method is also suitable for the calculation of capacitance in three dimensional electric field. |
