一种有效的MPEG-2相容的运动预测算法

双基预测算法是标准MPEG－2（Moving Picture Expert Group)引入的一种有效率的运动预测算法，是为了更好的弥补计对于特殊情况处理的不足，它的预测效果在某些情况下下甚至可以和存在双向预测帧的效果相当。分析了这种算法的实现过程及其优越之处，同时给出了一个切实可行的编码算法，产生了一个符合MPEG－2语义的视频流，实验证明，编码算法不但复杂度不高，而且平衡信噪比高可以达到48dB，重构图像的主观质量良好，可以应用到实际工程中。

A MPEG-2 Compliant Efficient Algorithm for Motion Prediction

MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) 2 standard defines only the decoding structure of bit stream, thus permitting great flexibility in motion prediction. We propose a MPEG 2 compliant algorithm that is more efficient than bi direction prediction algorithm under certain conditions. Section 3 gives in Fig.1 a flowchart of our proposed algorithm and presents the five steps in working out the part of encoding algorithm used for motion prediction. Section 4 offers further details of our proposed algorithm. Section 5 gives experimental results of five MPEG 2 compliant algorithms for motion prediction. The test results show preliminarily that that our coding algorithm is less complex and gives higher PSNR(Peak Signal Noise Ratio).
