Abstract:A planar dual-mode bandpass filter with two square corner cuts and a pair of equal crossed slots is designed. The center frequency is about 2.04 GHz and the minimum insertion loss is 0.09 dB. This filter has a return loss 10 dB more within 2.01-2.14 GHz and insertion loss 1 dB less within 2.00-2.14 GHz, and the 3 dB fractional bandwidth is 9.31%. There are two attenuation poles on both sides of the bandpass. They are 58.47 dB and 53.84 dB at the frequency of 1.82 GHz and 2.39 GHz, respectively. The simulated results show that this filter can reduce loss effectively, and the attenuation both sides of the bandpass become better. In addition, the size of designed filter is reduced, so it makes miniaturization easy.
