Database indexes can improve the performance of a database,although slow the database down.This paper gives a multiple-indexing approach for Xuzhou 1 000 MW power plant infrastructure database.The design and features of this database are outlined,and the development is detailed along with the practical indexing rules for the power industry.This approach helps speed up retrieval of the data for the power project infrastructure,support the power project management.
