| Abstract: | Fans are vital components of directly cooled fossil fired power sets. The power required by these fans is large, because of the massive bulk of air required to be handled, and the noise producted is rather large too. Economic factors, as well as noise mitigation, have to be considered for type option of the fans. Factors like type option principles and working steps, that have to be considered, are explained. |
