The paper presents a new switch with soft starting,which consists of a group of anti parallelly connected thyristors and common switch,and can open or close without arc.This system mainly contains a single chip,a signal converter,a synchronous circuit and a pulse magnifier circuit.The functions of the system software include electricity detection,error recognition and protection,alarming,etc.The system has the ability to set the start up voltage,start up current and start up time.The device can solve the problem of over current in electromotor start up process,and has the digital displaying of fault such as under voltage,over voltage and over current,etc.
