| Abstract: | The new-type composite conductor is a kind of conductor used for overhead transmission lines with a complete new concept, which is of light weight, high strength, good thermal stability, good insulation property and resistance to corrosion, etc.. It is valuable and possible for popularization and application. The author introduces and analyzes the research achievements obtained in Japan and USA, as well as appraises the future prospect of this technology. |
