Abstract:The probability of system faults will be significant increased as a power electronic controller in integrated into the body of an AC motor. This paper develops a novel high fault tolerant approach for protecting the integrated motor control system. With a fault occuring in, the system can still run at a normal condition without any damages by adjusting its control rule and reconstituting the space time vector of the motor automatically. Simulation and experimental results verified the validation of the presented approach.
