DSP和FPGA之间串口通信研究

摘    要:基于软件无线电的数传电台系统中,DSP和FPGA的通信是一个研究重点。本文提出了一种应用SPI协议的串口通信方案,利用DSP(TMS320VC5402)上多通道缓冲串口内嵌的SPI接口和FPGA(XC3S400)上编写的SPI模块进行通信;给出了DSP和FPGA之间的硬件连接图、SPI协议下多通道缓冲串口的设置,以及FPGA中FIFO的编程代码和仿真波形。

Abstract:The communication between DSP and FPGA is vital important in the system of data transmitter-receiver based on software-defined radio. This paper proposed a serial port communication method, which employed the SPI communication protocol. The communication is performed by using the embedded SPI interface on the DSP (TMS320VC5402)'s multi-channel buffered serial port (McBSP) and the SPI module programmed in FPGA (XC3S400). This paper introduced a hardware interface circuit between DSP and FPGA and configured McBSP on DSP, and programmed a FIFO in FPGA, then provided an emulated waveform. This method has passed in the PCB.
