| Abstract: | In this paper the reason of ice flashover on iced insulator strings of overhead transmission lines is found through analyzing the local climate, geographical features and type of flashover for 220 kV and above transmission lines in Shanxi province. Furthermore we compare and evaluate different methods that used to prevent ice flashover of insulator at present. Finally give some experiences and feasible measures to solve the problem of insulator ice flashover. |
